Why follow me? Well, really I just like to have fun and inspire others. I’m a bit silly and known to be a fiesty advocate. Above all I want to help empower the young people of today and educate adults to support this. With a qualifications in human development and Montessori philosophy, along with many years of studying wildlife biology at uni– I marry all these skills together to facilitate the girls led programs that Guiding is all about.
I was born in America and started my journey into guiding as a Girl Scout of America. It was influential in forming a number of my qualities today; advocacy, adventure, servitude and determination!
As a mum now living in Sydney, Australia I stepped up to become a guide helper when my daughter was in Junior Guides. I now am proud to have opened a Guide age unit with the help of my co leader, Platypus where we lead girls ages 10-14.
While doing this I am also combating a rare Stage 4 cancer. I’m doing awesome, considering this as I’m on a successful trial. I love to show people a cancer success story to give good to others and for the girls I work with to see that cancer doesn’t have to always mean doom and gloom- there are determined survivors!
Join me if you’d like as we climb to reach new heights and continue to LOOK WIDE!!
I am not promised tomorrow, so as for today, I will live and love fiercely. I will share the gifts God has granted me in hopes that I can make someone else’s tomorrow better because of my today.
